Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Waldorf: DC/NW Pizza Ranch Classic

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt College improved to 3-0 this men's soccer season with a 4-0 win over Waldorf (Iowa) in non-conference play Saturday afternoon, September 3.

Dordt used a sharp attack and had Waldorf on its heels the entire contest in outshooting the Warriors 22-1 and Dordt got 13 shots on goal.

The Defenders got a goal from Derick Sackey on a penalty kick in the 10th minute and took a 2-0 lead in the 38th minute on a goal by Steven Talsma off an assist by Alex Geylense.

Tom Stepanek extended the lead with a corner kick goal in the 54th minute and Braden Graves notched a goal off an assist by Brady Van Holland in the 85th minute.

Brian Verwolf and Kurt Franje combined for the shutout.

Dordt will travel to Jamestown (North Dakota) on Saturday, September 10 for their next contest.
