Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Sioux Falls

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Sioux Falls turned a 1-0 halftime lead into a 4-1 win over the Dordt College Defenders in men's soccer play on Tuesday afternoon, October 5 in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Four different players scored a goal each for Sioux Falls with Brice Holiday scoring in the 25th minute when he got in behind the Dordt defense.

The Cougars added a Connor Shefte deflection into the Dordt goal in the 51st minute and put the game away in the 62nd minute when Shefte assisted Ivan Campos for a third goal. Matt Wolfe ended the scoring with a shot from outside the 18 into the upper corner in the 72nd minute.

Dordt managed three shots on goal while Sioux Falls had seven shots on frame. Brian Verwolf had three saves. Sioux Falls split the goalkeeping duties between Adam Wemhoff and Kyle Simons with one and two saves respectively.

Dordt falls to 3-7-2 overall and 1-4-1 in the conference while Sioux Falls is now 9-3 overall and 5-1 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Dordt will travel to Seward, Nebraska on Saturday, October 9 to face Concordia.
