(Hastings, Nebraska) The Dordt College men's soccer season came to a close on Tuesday, November 3 in Hastings, Nebraska as the Defenders lost a 4-0 decision to the 10-time Great Plains Athletic Conference champion, Hastings College Broncos.
The hosts scored on an unassisted counter by Nate Polak in the eighth minute of play. Polak figured into the next goal as well when he assisted Ryan Robinson on the first of his three goals less than a minute later. Robinson would score goals again in the 20th and 56th minutes as the Broncos won their 14th game of the season.
Dordt mustered three shots--two of them on goal while Brian Verwolf made five saves in goal before giving way to Kurt Franje for the final 23 minutes.
Dordt finishes the season with a 9-10 mark while Hastings advances on in tournament play with a 14-3-2 record.
