Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Doane

(Crete, NE) The Dordt College Defender men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision on the road to Doane College in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.

Doane scored in the 24th minute off a corner kick with Kyle Smith knocking in the net. Tom Heaney then found the goal right before halftime in the 44th minute and then put the game out of reach with a goal in the 61st minute for the final of 3-0.

Dordt was outshot 20-5 with Dordt managing one shot on goal. Brian Verwolf made eight saves in goal for Dordt in the loss and Dordt is now 3-4. The Defenders fall to 0-2 in GPAC play while Doane is 2-0 and 3-4 overall.

Dordt will host Mount Marty on Tuesday afternoon in Sioux Center, Iowa at 5:15.
