(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt men came in to today's game with Morningside needing to garner some points to keep their hopes alive for a GPAC play-off berth. Although the Defenders are not mathematically eliminated from play-off contention due to a 3-1 loss this evening, they will need at least a win and a tie in their remaining two games to have a chance at making the play-offs.

Morningside added to their lead in the 29th minute when Tony Dang scored from close range after having gotten through the Dordt defense.
Morningside put the game out of reach when Stephen Smith headed home a ball served in by Jud Conner in the 70th minute of the game.
Dordt's lone goal came when senior midfielder Andrew Wubben (Bradenton, FL) scored his first goal of the season on a penalty kick in the final minute of the match.
Dordt freshmen goalkeeper Brian Verwolf (Jenison, MI)had 6 saves in the game while the duo in net for Morningside combined for 7 saves. Dordt outshot the Mustangs 14-11 in the contest.
