Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Hastings

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt battled well for the entire match against GPAC leader Hastings but were only able to hold them off for 55 minutes until giving up 3 goals.

The Defenders played tough and due to a tremendous from all their players they went in to half time at 0-0. The central referee awarded the Broncos with a penalty kick 10 minutes in to the second half which was buried by Josh Moran to give them a 1-0 lead. The questionable decision was somewhat deflating but Dordt continue to play hard and unfortunately gave up two goals in the last 10 minutes and ended up falling 3-0 to Hastings. The second Hastings goal acme in the 80th minute when Brian Steinert sent a lovely ball in to the top left of the goal. Justin Burns had the final tally off a corner kick with a couple minutes remaining.

Dordt keeper Jordan Huisken had a solid performance in goal for the Defenders making 15 saves on the day. Dordt will next play on Wednesday, October 25 at home at 4:15 pm as they play host to Sioux Falls.
