(Yankton, South Dakota) The Dordt College Defender men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to the Mount Marty Lancers on the road Tuesday afternoon in Great Plains Athletic Conference action.

The Lancers got the only goal of the game midway through the second half on a crossing pass that was headed past Jordan Huisken in the Dordt goal.

Mount Marty had six shots on goal with Huisken recording four saves while the Defenders mustered sixteen shots-- thirteen of them on goal.

Dordt College is 2-4 this season and 1-2 in conference play.

DC Assistant Tim Klein noted: "Mount Marty is a much improved team from what they had been in the past. We really played hard against them after we were down a goal but simply waited to long to get going."

Dordt outshot Mount Marty 16-11 on the match.

The Defenders have lost three of their decisions by one goal and this is their second one-goal loss in a row.

Dordt College will face Concordia this Saturday in Seward, Nebraska in a 3:15 start.
