(Sioux Falls, South Dakota) The Sioux Falls Cougars scored one goal in each half of their 2-0 win over the Dordt College Defenders in Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sioux Falls broke through with a goal in the 36th minute of play to go into halftime up 1-0 and the scored again in the 59th minute of the game for the final of 2-0.

Dordt managed 13 shots--six of them on goal while Jordan Huisken made seven saves in goal for the Defenders as Sioux Falls got 12 shots off.

The Defenders drop to 1-2-1 in league play and 3-4-1 overall while Sioux Falls improves to 2-0 in the GPAC and 7-1 overall. Dordt is scheduled to host Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday at 3:00 in Sioux Center in conference play.
