Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Concordia

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College men's soccer team turned in a 2-0 winning performance against the visiting Concordia Bulldogs in Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon for their first win of the league season and their third overall.
Dordt College scored two first half goals and then limited Concordia's offensive chances in the second half. Ryan Coon scored the first Dordt goal on a solo run through the Concordia defense in the 22nd minute of play and then factored into the second goal when he fed Dan Koolhaas for another goal ten minutes later.
Dordt's Jordan Huisken registered the shutout in goal while making three saves and facing a total of ten shots. Dordt was outshot 10-8 in the game.
The Defenders face Bethany (Minnesota) this Thursday before traveling to Hastings on Saturday, September 22 for their next loop play.
Dordt is 1-0-1 in league play and 3-1-1 overall while Concordia falls to 0-1 and 0-6.
