Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Graceland

(Lamoni, Iowa) The fifth-rated Graceland YellowJackets proved to be too much today in a non-conference soccer game with the Dordt College Defenders in Lamoni, Iowa.
The 10-2 YellowJackets scored one goal in the first half and then poured through for two second half goals on the way to the 3-0 win over the Defenders.
Kevin Souter assisted Filip Prostran for the first Graceland goal in the 32nd minute. Down 1-0 at half, the Defenders peppered the Graceland goal for the first 15 minutes of the second half, coming away empty. Graceland scored in the 71st minute off a cornder kick by Souter to Diego Gonzalez who fed Souter for the goal and Souter tacked on an unassisted goal in the 81st minute for the 3-0 win. Dordt had eight shots on goal while Graceland fired 15 shots and Brandon Vander Wel made seven saves in goal for the Defenders.
Dordt College drops to 7-6-1 overall after the loss and go for the eighth win of the season on Tuesday when they host Great Plains Athletic Conference frontrunner on Tuesday, October 17. The Defenders also host Doane and Martin Luther in the next week and a half to close out the regular season. Dordt College is currently tied for fourth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference with Midland Lutheran and Dana with all three teams standing at 6-4 with two conference games a piece to play.
