(Fremont, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender men's soccer team got a much needed win over the Midland Lutheran Warriors in Great Plains Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon in Fremont, Nebraska.

Danny Koolhaas scored the initial goal for the Defenders in the second minute of play on an unassisted play. Ryan Coon gave the Defenders an insurance goal thirty-two minutes into the game off an assist from Siam Grobler and Brandon VanderWel registered a shutout in goal for the Defenders who are now 5-4 in the conference and 6-5-1 overall. Midland Lutheran falls to 6-2 in the league and 7-4-1 overall.
