Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Sioux Falls

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt College defeated conference opponent University of Sioux Falls 2-1 under cold, rainy conditions Wednesday night. Sioux Falls fell to 1-3 against GPAC competition, while Dordt bettered their conference record to 4-2.
Sioux Falls' Bebe Jones scored five minutes into the game for the first score of the game. Mike Oppeneer claimed the first goal of the game for Dordt College with a little under 34 mintues left in the half to tie it off an assist Siam Grobler. With 4:22 left to play in the game, Grobler made a pass to his left, setting up Oppeneer for a shot in front of the goal keeper. The deciding score came off Oppeneer's left foot to the bottom right corner of the goal.
Brandon Vander Wel played goalie for the Defenders, stopping 6 of 7 shots on goal for the night.
