Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Hastings

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt soccer team drops their second straight at the hands of Hastings this rainy afternoon 5-0. Hastings Matt Quinlan struck first three minutes into the game with a pass from Nick Vanous. Matt Quinlan scored again with 13 minutes remaining in the first half off another pass from Nick Vanous. Quinlan then put in his third goal of the day two minutes into the second half which was assisted by Mark Knust. Steve Fausset struck next with 12 minutes remaining which was assisted once again by Nick Vanous. Reed Ambrose finished the scoring for Hastings with 10 minutes left in the game with a pass from Cory Sexson. Brandon VanderWel made eight saves for the Defenders as Cole Witthauer stopped three shots for the shut out.
The Defenders drop to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
