Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Dana-GPAC Quarterfinals

(Blair, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender men's soccer team avenged a regular seasons loss to Dana with a 2-1 decision over the Vikings this afternoon in GPAC quarterfinal round action. The Defenders surrendered a goal in the first half but were able to draw even when Danny Koolhaas found the net off an assist from Mike Oppeneer in the 60th minute. Koolhaas then unlocked the tie with 4:50 remaining on a direct kick. Koolhaas actually made a direct kick but was forced to do it a second time after the first one was nullified. Brandon Vander Wel toiled in goal and made eight saves.
