Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Midland Lutheran

(Fremont, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender men's soccer team broke a three game losing streak by going on the road and beating Midland Lutheran 4-2 in conference play at Fremont, Nebraska Saturday afternoon,
Dordt got two goals from Mike Oppeneer in the first half. The first, assisted by Brandon Vander Wel came at the 28 minute mark and the second, an assist from David Hiemenga with four minutes left in the half made it 2-0.
Midland came back with two goals off corner kicks three minutes into the half on the first and 13 minutes left in the game on the second.
Tied 2-2 the Defenders responded with a goal from Danny Koolhaas off a penalty kick cross from Dusty Elgersma with four minutes remaining. Craig Ritsema then sealed the win with a goal to even Dordt's record at 1-1 in the conference.
Brandon Vander Wel worked in goal for the Defenders.
