Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Martin Luther

(New Ulm, Minnesota) The Dordt Defender men's soccer team traveled to New Ulm, Minnesota and came home with a 4-2 win over Martin Luther College on Saturday.
Martin Luther scored 1:30 into the game on a broken play and the Defenders wouldn't answer back until the 17:56 mark on an unassisted goal by Ryan Coon. The two teams played scoreless soccer for nearly the next 60 minutes with Dordt unlocking the tie on another unassisted goal, this one by David Hiemenga at the 71:39 mark.
Coon scored off an assist from Mike Oppeneer just under four minutes later to give Dordt some breathing room and Coon returned the favor with just under four minutes remaining, assisting Oppeneer for the Defenders' fourth goal of the game. Martin Luther scored with 87:08 gone to make the final 4-2.
Brandon Vander Wel and Aaron Bogaard split keeper duties with Dordt outshooting Martin Luther 20-7.
