Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Central College
September 15, 2003
(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defender soccer team scored the first two goals of their game with Central this afternoon in Sioux Center but the Dutch came roaring back to take a 3-2 decision in overtime.
The Defenders scored in the fifth minute of the first half off a corner kick by Kyle Van Andel to Aaron Faber who knocked it in. The Defenders took a 2-0 lead five minutes later on a high driving kick by Craig Ritsema.
The Dutch got a goal with seven minutes left in the first half off a Kyle Halfpop kick. The Dutch tied it with fifteen minutes gone in the second half on a Tim Dobberfuhl goal and won it with 8:15 left in the first overtime when Nick Mohwinkle tapped in a deflection.
This was Dordt's third one goal loss of the season.
