Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Sioux Falls

(Home) Dordt’s men’s soccer team improved their season mark to 11-3 today with 2-1 win over visiting Sioux Falls here in Sioux Center. After a scoreless first half the Defenders scored first on a penalty kick by Jon Pelster with 22 minutes left in the game. The Cougars came back to tie the game, and force overtime, scoring with 2:30 left on the game clock. John Kludt found the net for Sioux Falls on the unassisted goal. After a scoreless first overtime period the Defenders won the game with 1:34 left in the second overtime on Jon Pelster’s second goal of the game (unassisted). Dordt registered 10 shots-on-goal and keeper Arlan Vander Woude grabbed eight saves in goal.
