Dordt College Lacrosse vs. Creighton

April 2, 2011

(Omaha, Nebraska) The ball just couldn't find the back of the net for the Sowers in their divisional contest against Creighton Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska.

Creighton jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first quarter until senior Nick Campbell was able to cut the lead in half with a goal towards the end of the first quarter. The Sowers offense was able to possess the ball throughout most of the second quarter, but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. In the third quarter, senior Darren Raih was able to find Campbell who put it in the net to make the score 4-2. Campbell's third goal came in the 4th quarter from a pass delivered by senior Tyler Dooyema.

Dordt was led on offense by Campbell who had all 3 goals for the Sowers. Seniors Darren Raih and Tyler Dooyema were each credited with an assist. Jordan Yntema recorded 9 saves.

The Sowers will travel to Kansas City, Missouri this weekend to take on Missouri S & T and the University of Dallas.
