Dordt College Women's Golf at Northwestern Invite

(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender women's golf team finished seventh at the Northwestern Red Raider Invite at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa on Thursday, September 8. The Defenders came in with a 379 in the twelve team field which Dakota Wesleyan led with a 334.
Dordt was led by Justean De Groot and Renae Visser with a pair of 91's while Micayla Weaver shot a 96. Brianna Zandstra also broke 100 for the Dordt Junior Varsity team with a 98.
Dani Ballet won the event with a 74 which was seven strokes better than her nearest competitor.
Landsmeer was set up for par 72 and 5881 yards.
Dordt will host a meet at The Ridge in Sioux Center on Friday, September 9. The Thursday meet was played under near perfect conditions with light wind and temperatures in the high 70's.
