Dordt College Women's Golf at GPAC Qualifier #2

(Lincoln, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender women shot a 439 in GPAC Qualifier #2 at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln, Nebraska on Tuesday, October 5. The round was the second of four to determine the Great Plains Athletic Conference champion. Rounds three and four will be played in the spring.
The Defenders, standing 12th in their initial season of women's golf, were led by Justean De Groot with a 96 which was good for 36th on day two. Jennifer Van Der Hoek shot a 106 while Brianna Zandstra and Kayla Zwart posted a 115 and a 122 respectively.
Wilderness Ridge was set up for par 71, 5965 yards.
Midland had the low round for the second day of the event with a 346 while Dakota Wesleyan leads the overall race with a 684. Maggie Rozeboom shot the low round on Tuesday with an 80 for Northwestern while 2009 champion Dani Bellet from Dakota Wesleyan is the midpoint leader with a 154.
This marks the conclusion of the fall season for the Defenders.
