Dordt College Men's Golf at GPAC Qualifier #1

(Orange City, Iowa) Led by Sam Vos's 74, the Dordt College Defender men's golf team is in fifth place after GPAC Qualifier #1 at Landsmeer in Orange City, Iowa on Thursday, September 13.
Dordt totaled a 306 and trail fourth place Midland by four strokes. Zach Kooiker had a 76 and Jon Holwerda a 77. Both Madison Moss and Derek Fox had 79s to account for Dordt's five scores. Four scores count in the standings of the four round event. The next round will be at Green Valley in Sioux City, Iowa on October 10.
Northwestern leads after shooting a 282. Jay Monahan has the individual lead after shooting a 67. Vos's 74 puts him in a tie ninth and Kooiker is tied for 17th.
Landsmeer was set up for par 71 and 6,441 yards in length.
Dordt travels to Doane for a two day event on September 17 and 18 in its next action.
