Dordt College Men's Golf at Hastings Invitational

(Hastings, Nebraska) Dordt College placed seventh in the team race and Ryan Kamp ended up tied for ninth in the Hastings College Golf Invite held on Monday, September 21 at Lochland Country Club and Southern Hills Golf Club. 16 teams competed in the 36-hole event with Lochland playing 6380 yards and Southern Hills 7009. Both were listed as par-72.
Kamp shot a 155 to lead the way for the Defenders and was six shots off the individual medalist race with Hastings' Tony Primavera shooting a 149 for individual honors. Kamp's score was good for a tie for tenth with Brandon McCracken at a 161 in a tie for 22nd. Mike Rozenboom carded a 164 for 39th and Jon Holwerda's 166 completed the Dordt scoring.
Hastings had a team that put up a 609 to win the team title with Southeast Community College placing second with a 620.
Hastings will host GPAC Meet #2 in October at Lochland and Dordt will next play in a meet hosted in Sioux Falls on Saturday, September 25.
