Dordt College Men's Golf at GPAC Qualifier #1

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt College is in eighth place after round one of the GPAC regular season qualifier. Dordt shot a 313 over the first round behind an even par round from Ryan Kamp and stand 22 shots out of the team lead but just 15 shots out of second in the four round event.
The round, played under near perfect conditions at The Ridge in Sioux Center, Iowa, was highlighted by a 68 shot by Nebraska Wesleyan's Patrick Hanzel. Wesleyan has the team lead with a 291 while Northwestern is second with a 298. A total of four golfers shot par or better on the par-71, 6853 yard course.
Dordt's Brandon McCracken shot a 77 while Jon Holwerda and Kevin Fopma had an 82 and 83 respectively to complete Dordt's scoring.
Dordt will next golf in the Hastings Invite on Monday, September 20.
The second GPAC Men's Regular Season Qualifier will be played on October 7 in Hastings, Nebraska, at the Lochland Country Club.
