Dordt College Men's Golf at Buena Vista Invite (Day 1)

(Storm Lake, Iowa (Lake Creek)) Dordt College stands in a tie for 15th after day one of the Buena Vista Invite in Storm Lake, Iowa. The Defenders shot a 329 and are tied with Briar Cliff and Simpson in 15th at the Lake Creek Country Club. A tight team race, the Defenders are just 12 shots out of sixth place with the leaders at 311. Central and Kirkwood share the lead at the 6706 course.

Dordt was paced by Jordan Janz's 80 which put him in a tie for 32nd overall. Ben Christians, Derek Dreise and Ryan Kamp all shot 83 on the par 72 course. Andrew Townsend of Central is the leader after 18 holes with a 71.

Day two of the event is Saturday, April 17.
