Dordt College Men's Golf at Iowa Lakes Invite

(Okoboji, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender golf team sent a junior varsity unit to a meet held by Iowa Lakes Community College at Brooks Golf Course in Okoboji. The Defenders placed ninth at the meet with a total of 354.

Iowa Western ran away with the team title with a 278 and had the medalist and runner up medalist in Tony Wingert and Kevin Steinek who shot a 66 and 70 respectively.

Derek Dreise carded an 84 for Dordt and Ben Christians shot an 87. The Defenders are off until October 6 when they play their last event of the fall--GPAC Qualifer Round Two at Lincoln, Nebraska.
