Dordt College Men's Golf at GPAC #4

The Dordt College Defender golf team carded a 315 in the final GPAC meet of the season at Whispering Creek Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa. The Defenders' score was good for third on the day and capped a fourth place finish by Dordt in the four-date event. Nebraska Wesleyan capped their consistent play in the event with a 310 which gave them the team title with a total stroke count of 1223. The Prairie Wolves had a team best of 301 and 310 was their highest score. Dakota Wesleyan came in second after holding the lead after each of the previous three rounds. The Tigers scored a 1227.
Dordt's Jared Rempel capped his Dordt career with a 78 which was good for 11th on the day and he ended the tournament with a 302 which placed him in a tie for third place. Collin Broekhuis shot a 77 in his final round of golf for Dordt College and had a 315 for 13th overall. Jordan Janz and Ryan Kamp each had 80's for Dordt with Janz recording a four-day total of 310 for 10th overall.
Justin Zebolsky from Midland Lutheran shot a 73 on Tuesday for day medalist honors and he won the overall medalist honor with a 296, taking the individual title by four strokes over EJ Hamilton from Nebraska Wesleyan.
Dakota Wesleyan will represent the GPAC at the NAIA National Meet with the top finish by an NAIA school in conference play--Nebraska Wesleyan is affiliated with NCAA Division III in golf. Justin Zebolsky also qualifies for individual play at the meet.
Day four's play was held at Whispering Creek in Sioux City, a par 72, 6,756 yard course.
