Dordt College Men's Golf at Dordt Invite

(Le Mars, Iowa) The Morningside Mustangs claimed first place at the Dordt College Golf Invite on Saturday, October 11 in Le Mars Iowa as the Defenders capped the fall portion of the 2008 season with a 290 for the meet.

The Defenders placed eighth with a stroke count or 313 and were led by Collin Broekhuis' 74 and Lance Dieleman carded a 76 and Ryan Kamp a 77.

Morningside's Dave Young shot a 70 for medalist honors and Brady Nurse, Brandon Morehead and Austin Vanderhoff all finished in the top-10 for the Mustangs.

This marks the conclusion of the 2007 fall season for the Defenders. Dordt will resume golf play in March 2008.
