Dordt College Men's Golf at Briar Cliff Invite--Final Results

(Sioux City, Iowa) The Dordt College men's golf team claimed the team championship at the Briar Cliff Fall Invite completed Tuesday, September 23 in Sioux City, Iowa. The Defenders had a six shot lead going into day two of the 36-hole event and the Defenders held Wayne State off by six shots to claim the title.
The Defenders were led by Jared Rempel's two-day score of 145. The senior from Chilliwack, British Columbia finished in second place, two shots off the leader's total of 143. Rempel shot a 73 on day one and a 72 on Tuesday for the runner-up medalist honors.
Brad Evenson ended with a 156 for the event and was 11th overall while Collin Broekhuis had a 161. Jordan Janz and Lance Dieleman had a 163 and 166 respectively to help the Defenders to the first place finish.
Dordt will have an extended break before concluding their fall schedule October 11th in a meet they host in Le Mars, Iowa.
