Dordt College Men's Golf at Iowa Lakes Invitational

(Okoboji, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender golf team sent a unit to a meet hosted by Iowa Lakes at Brooks National Golf Course near Spirit Lake, Iowa.

The Defenders placed fourth out of nine teams with a four man total of 315. Michael Vos carded a 74 and was low man for Dordt and fourth overall.

Vos was two shots off the leader, Steve Wyborning of North Iowa Area, who had a one over par score of 72. Ben Christians shot a 79 and was 17th with Tyler Lyon and Andrew Borger filling out the Dordt College card with and 80 and an 82. 46 golfers made up the field on September 19.

Dordt College will send golfers to Sioux City for two-day meet hosted by Briar Cliff on Monday and Tuesday, September 22 and 23. The Dordt fall season is rapidly winding down with the Defenders hosting a meet in Le Mars on October 11.
