Dordt College Men's Golf at NAIA Region III Meet

(Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Elmwood Golf Course)) The Dordt College Defender golf team is in fourth place after day one of the two-day NAIA Region III golf championships in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Defenders are six shots off the lead with Sioux Falls taking advantage of playing in their backyard with tournament opening 305. Dakota Wesleyan is at 309 and Midland Lutheran has 310 and Hastings is at 312. Dordt is led by Jared Rempel's 73 which was the second lowest score shot on the day. Jason Kroese had a 77 which tied him for tenth and Jordan Janz and Collin Broekhuis had 80 and 81 respectively and Matt Zwart's 83 completed the Dordt College day.

Northwestern's Luke Vermeer is the leader after day one with a 70. Play resumes Tuesday morning at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
