Dordt College Men's Golf at Cougar Invitational

(Sioux Falls, South Dakota) The Dordt College Defender golf team placed eighth at the Cougar Invitational Tuesday, October 2 in Sioux Falls. the par-72 course played longer than its 7186 yards on Tuesday with a strong wind prevailing through out the day.

The Defenders were led by Jared Rempel's 79 which was good for fifth overall in the 60 man field. Jordan Janz was next for Dordt with an 84 and Collin Broekhuis carded an 85.

Dakota Wesleyan won the meet with a 312 and Hastings placed second with 319. Buena Vista had the medalist, Tim Murphy, who shot an even par 72. Eleven shots seperated the third place team and the eighth place finisher.

Dordt will host a meet in Le Mars on October 9 to conclude the Autumn portion of their schedule.
