Dordt College Men's Golf at Day one--NAIA Region III Meet

(Oxbow, North Dakota) The Dordt College Defender men are in sixth place at the conclusion of day one at the NAIA Region III golf meet in Oxbow, North Dakota.
The Defenders carded a 317 as a team and are currently three strokes out of fifth and eleven strokes out of third place.
The Defenders are paced by Jared Rempel's 74 which puts him in the hunt for medalist honors. Collin Broekhuis, a sophomore from Edgerton, Minnesota was the only other Dordt player to break 80 on the first day of play with a 79.
Midland Lutheran is in the driver's seat halfway to the finish with a day one score of 295 and Sioux Falls in nine strokes back at 304. The meet concludes on Tuesday, May 1. The top team finisher and the medalist from the meet advance to the NAIA National Championships May 22-25 at Plymouth, Indiana.
