Dordt College Men's Golf at Northwestern Invitational

(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender men's golf team turned in their best team performance of the season on Wednesday in their final tuneup for the Great Plains Athletic Conference meet with a two-stroke victory over Dakota Wesleyan in a meet hosted by Northwestern College at Landsmeer Golf Course in Orange City, Iowa.
The Defenders got a 73 from Matt Zwart and a 74 by Jared Rempel to spearhead the 297 team total that was the best team score of the 10-team field. Collin Broekhuis carded a 75 along with Ryan Trosper while Jason Kroese had the high score of the day for Dordt with a 79, Zwart tied for third overall with medalist honors going to Brett Abbots of Dakota Wesleyan with 71 and Nathan Schenke was the runner up with a 72. Schenke is from Sioux Falls.
Dordt will golf in the two-day GPAC meet on April 23 and 24 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
