Dordt College Football vs. Midland Lutheran

(Fremont, Nebraska) The Midland Warriors scored two touchdowns in the second quarter to stretch a 7-0 lead up to 21-0 at halftime on the way to a 42-0 win over the Dordt Defenders in Great Plains Athletic Conference football on Saturday in Fremont, Nebraska.
Midland scored on six extended drives, none of them shorter than 51 yards or eight plays in winning its sixth game of the season and fifth in the GPAC. Midland has now won four games in a row.
The Warriors scored on their first drive of the game when Khalie Waters ran it in from one yard out to cap a nine play-80 yard drive. An Eddie Pertilla catch of a John Faulkner five yard pass made it 14-0 at the 14:20 mark of the half and the Warriors made it 21-0 on a Brad Walker seven yard pass catch.
Midland scored on drives of 66,51 and 70 yards. Dordt did threaten when it was down 21-0 early in the second half when they got to the Midland 16 yard line but Micah Twedell was intercepted and the Defenders never made it that deep into Warrior territory again. Dordt was outgained 275-72 on the ground and 501-160 for the game.
Kameron Gradert and Aaron Floen each ran for 21 yards for Dordt and Sam Du Mez caught four Twedell passes for 70 yards and had a long catch of 29 yards. Midland was led on the ground by Anthony White with 60 yards on 10 carries and Antonyo Johnson had 10 carries for 52 yards. Faulkner completed 15-27 passes for 193 yards and three touchdowns. Brad Walker caught four passes for 59 yards.
Dordt was led on defense by Josh Nollmeyer with six solo and two assisted stops. Seth Vande Voort made two solo tackles and was in on ten assisted stops. Matt Postmus, Daniel Finley, James Rowenhorst and Todd Green all had three solo tackles for Dordt and Jordan Huisman was in on eight assisted stops.
Dordt is now 0-8 and will play on the road against Concordia on Saturday, October 30 in the final road game of the season for the Defenders.
