November 4, 2011
(Jamestown, North Dakota) The Dordt College Defender women's basketball team lost its season opener on the road against Jamestown (North Dakota) on Friday, November 4. The Defenders couldn't overcome a 40-25 rebounding disparity and a night when they made 37 percent of their shots to 47 percent for the hosts.
Dordt had a 17-16 lead after a Jaimie Kok field goal midway through the first half. The Jimmies proceeded to go on a 10-0 run to take a lead they never gave up, taking a 38-28 lead at halftime. The Jimmies opened up a 63-43 by the midpoint of the second half before losing 85-56.
