(Yankton, South Dakota) The Dordt College Lady Defenders moved to 3-3 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference with a 66-50 win over Mount Marty at Yankton, South Dakota on Wednesday night.
The Lady Defenders pulled away from a 21-25 deficit to take a 35-28 lead at halftime. The Lady Defenders then held off an early second half charge by the Lady Lancers that saw a ten point lead get trimmed to six before Dordt College won by an eventual 16 points.
Kristin De Ronde scored a season high 18 points with five rebounds, five blocks and two steals. Jill Haan and Rachel Van Beek each had 12 points and Shawna Flikkema had seve points, three assists and five steals in the Lady Defenders sixth win in seven games.
Mount Marty was topped by Carrie Ahlers 10 points and nine rebounds.
