(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College Lady Defenders suffered through a sub-par shooting afternoon against the #18 rated Midamerica Nazarene Pioneers at the Northwestern Red Raider Classic on Friday afternoon, falling by a final score of 70-52.
The Lady Defenders got behind 17-2 and trailed by 14 at halftime 41-27. Dordt cut the lead down to 10 on two different occasions in the second half but never got any closer in losing for the first time in December.
Jill Haan led Dordt with 11 points and nine rebounds while Jenna Matson had 24 points and five rebounds for the winners.
Haan was named to the all-Classic team at the conclusion of the Northwestern-William Jewell contest.
