(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders opened tonight's game with an 8-0 run, but couldn't hang on to the lead, fallin to the Northwestern Red Raiders 78-52. Northwestern tied the score at 23-all before taking the lead for good. The Defenders found themselves in foul trouble all night long, sending Northwestern to the free throw line 32 times.
Jill Bouma and Colleen De Goot had eight points apiece for the Defenders while Rachel Van Beek hauled down 10 rebounds. Northwestern's Carli Blom registered a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
