Dordt College Women's Basketball vs. Dakota Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders dropped their first conference game of the new year tonight to the top-ranked Dakota Wesleyan Tigers, but not without a fight. After a rocky first half, the Defenders fought back to within ten points midway through the second half, but couldn't sustain the run as the Tigers rallied back to make it a 21-point game by the end.

Colleen De Groot had 13 points to lead the Defenders, while Jill Bouma added 11 points and four rebounds. Dakota Wesleyan's Randi Morgan had 18 points and 9 boards for the Tigers, who enjoyed a 56 percent shooting night from 3-point land.
