Dordt College Women's Basketball vs. Fresno Pacific--Fresno Pacific Tournament

(Fresno, California) The Dordt Lady Defenders battled to overtime with the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds in women's basketball this evening. The Lady Defenders had a chance to win in regulation but converted one of two free throws. In overtime the Lady Defenders held a 72-68 lead but couldn't hold it. Fresno Pacific got the go ahead and eventual winning basket with :05 left on a lay up off an assist from Maurecia Clark to Denise Fast.

Dordt was topped by Jenna O'Neill and Jill Bouma with 14 points each. Rachel Van Beek had 13 points and Tara De Boer added 11. Fresno Pacific was topped by Clark's 28 points. Clark made the only three point baskets of the night for the Sunbirds in the second half on consecutive possessions. Dordt fought back from as much as a eight point deficit in the second half to force overtime.
