Dordt College Women's Basketball vs. Grand View

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders picked up a convincing victory tonight over Grand View in their season opener. Dordt battled back from various deficits in the first half to take a 36-35 lead at the break. The Defenders gradually extended that lead in the second half to take the 73-64 win.

Jenna O'Neill had 21 points to lead the Defenders. Colleen De Groot added 16 and Katie Bleeker and Chelsea Gerdes each had 12. Bleeker also had eight boards and eight assists.

Grand View was led in scoring by Amanda Kramer with 18 and Amber Johnson with 14.
