Dordt College Women's Basketball vs. Briar Cliff University

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Lady Defenders nabbed their first conference win tonight over Briar Cliff by the score of 69-58. Briar Cliff had the early lead, but Dordt fought back to take a 15-point half-time lead, 31-16. Briar Cliff came storming back in the second half and knotted the score at 41-41 midway through the period, but could never take the lead as Dordt hung on for the victory. Freshman Rachel Van Beek scored a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards to lead the Defenders. Sarah Niles had 18 points and 12 rebounds for Briar Cliff.
