(Sioux Center, Iowa) A late surge by the Morningside Mustangs propelled them to a non conference win over the Dordt Lady Defenders in Sioux Center 92-71. Dordt had one lead at 25-23 in the first half and had the margin down to two at 54-52 near the midpoint of the second half. Brittany Carper led the Morningside attack with 28 points on 9-11 shooting from the field. Carper had five rebounds, nine assists and eight steals as well. Dordt was led by Rachel Van Beek as she turned in 14 points and 13 rebounds. The Lady Defenders were done in by 41 turnovers against the Morningside pressure defense.
