Dordt College Women's Basketball vs. Concordia (NE)

(Home) The Dordt College women's basketball team lost a heart-breaker in 2001 homecoming basketball action this afternoon in Sioux Center. After a 34-31 lead and shooting 62% from the three-point arch at the end of the first half, Dordt was unable to pull in the victory. Concordia went ahead and pulled away with about six minutes remaining in the game and was able to hold on for the win 78-72. Concordia had five players in double figures, led by guard Jonie Ficken. The Lady Defenders had three players in double figures, and were led by Freshman guard Rachel Schutte who was 3-4 from the three point line.
