Dordt College Women's Basketball vs. Briar Cliff

(Home) Dordt College played giant killers again this year, as Dordt defeated fourth ranked Briar Cliff 77-74 in Sioux Center. Last year, Dordt defeated Briar Cliff when they were ranked number two in the nation 80-77, at Sioux Center. Kelli Holwerda led Dordt with 25 points, and 13 rebounds. Four Lady Defenders scored in double figures, as Serena Van Beek and Heather Broekhuis netted 15 a piece, and Carla Geleynse added 12 (all in the second half). Dordt moves to 11-7, and Briar Cliff drops to 17-6 on the season. Dordt's biggest lead tonight was 12 points at 55-43, and Dordt led at the half 37-33.
