(Home) The Dordt Defenders never trailed after an 11-11 tie in a non conference men's basketball win over Briar Cliff Wednesday night in Sioux Center. The Defenders did have to go to overtime to win 90-82 in dispatching of the future GPAC member. Dordt led 64-55 at one point in the second half only to have Briar Cliff tie the game at 71-71 at the end of regulation. Dordt made 13-17 free throws in the overtime to seal the win. Dordt had four players in double figures led by Kyle Van Arendonk's season high 23. Evan Beimers had 15 points 11 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in the win.
