Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Huron

(Mitchell, SD, Teammaker Classic) Dordt's men garnered a nice win tonight in the Dakota Wesleyan University Teammaker Classic in Mitchell, South Dakota. Dordt defeated Huron University 92-81, and improved to 6-5 on the season. Evan Beimers totaled 23 points for Dordt, while Russ Archambault (former Minnesota Golden Gopher) tallied 23 for Huron now 6-7. Dordt shot the ball well at the Corn Palace hitting on 53% of all field goals and 46% of three-point attempts. Dordt led at the half 39-34, and never trailed while outscoring the Screaming Eagles 53-47 in the second 20 minutes. There were 12 lead changes and four ties in the game. Dordt and Huron used to be in the old South Dakota-Iowa Conference, but now play in seperate leagues. Dordt is in the GPAC, and Huron plays in the Dakota-10 (Dak-10) Conference.
