Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Buena Vista

(Storm Lake, IA) The Dordt College men's basketball team lost a close game tonight to Buena Vista, 79-76. Dordt was out-scored 37-31 in the first half as this proved to be the difference in the contest even though Dordt led the second half, out-scoring Buena Vista 45-42. The well-played second half wasn't enough for the Defenders as they fall to 3-1 on the season. Evan Beimers led the Defenders this evening with 19 points and ten rebounds. Dordt lost junior starter Eric Maas for the season following an ACL tear in his knee on the tip-off. Maas was the Defenders leading scorer and rebounder.
