Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. South Dakota Tech

(Rapid City, South Dakota) Dordt's men ended a four game losing streak with an 83-74 win at South Dakota Tech tonight. Dordt jumped out to a 32-12 lead with 10:00 minutes left in the first half, and then were outscored 19-2 from the ten minute mark down to the two minute mark. The Defenders ended the half on a 6-2 run to lead by seven at the break. Both teams had solid second half performances, as Dordt held on for the win. A balanced attack was Dordt's key tonight, as four players were in double-figures. Adam Van Meeteren's 13 points led the way, followed by 12 points from Neal Brenneman, Eric Maas, and Evan Beimers (all in the second half). The Defenders outrebounded Tech 46-21! Matt Van Essen pulled in seven rebounds to pace Dordt, now 10-5 and 1-1 in the SDIC. The Hardrockers drop to 6-10, and 1-1 in league play.
